Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Full & Partial Dentures

How can we help you?

Your dental needs are a very personal thing, and you deserve to have all the information you need to make sound decisions about certain treatments or procedures. We don't just tell you what we think is best for you. Our doctors take the time to explain what the procedure is, why it's necessary, and how it will benefit you in the long-term. So we welcome and encourage your questions, because it's the best way for us to know what's on your mind.

Here are a few of the questions we hear most often, but you may have others that you don't see here. Please don't ever hesitate to contact our office if you're looking for more information.

Full & Partial Dentures

Losing even one tooth can lead to a series of events that can seriously compromise your overall oral health. Surrounding teeth will gradually shift into the space left by the missing tooth.

Finding a permanent tooth replacement option

Replacing missing teeth is important, and dental implants offer a very effective solution. Dental implants are embedded in your jaw bone and act as a replacement root for the missing tooth. The implant works as an anchor that provides permanent support for the dental restoration attached to it. The restoration may be a crown, bridge, or full or partial dentures. Dental implants are secure and durable and should be cleaned and cared for in the same way as your natural teeth.dental implants | moon valley dental care

Dental implants require placement of a titanium replacement root into your jaw. Every case is different, but once the implant has been secured in the jaw bone, healing usually takes several months. We’ll be able to give you a better estimate once we’re familiar with your specific case. Once the bone has healed, we anchor a replacement tooth to the implant.
