The thought of having a tooth extracted can be overwhelming. First, you are losing a tooth that you hoped would serve you for many years. Then you also have to deal with anxiety about the procedure itself. Finally, you need to consider all your tooth replacement options. There’s a lot to think about!

Your Needs Come First

If you are facing tooth extraction, we can help you get the care you need at our warm and welcoming Phoenix dental office. Our entire team is sensitive to your needs so you can be confident that we will support you throughout your procedure.

We start the process by getting you settled in and ensuring that you are comfortable. The next step is getting your mouth numb with a local anesthetic that eliminates pain. For some, this is the biggest hurdle, because who likes injections? However, our team of doctors has over 40 years combined experience in delivering injections that are quick and comfortable.

When we know your mouth is completely numb, one of our dentists will gently and skillfully remove the unwanted tooth. If at any time during your procedure you feel discomfort, please let us know right away.

Post-Procedure Instructions

The first 24 hours after your procedure are critical for the healing process. You don’t want to dislodge the clot that is forming because it will delay healing. Rinse your mouth gently and avoid any sucking motion, like smoking or drinking through a straw. You can brush but stay away from the teeth adjacent to the extraction site. If you feel any discomfort, you can use a cold compress on and off your face every 20 minutes for relief.
